Banco Alimentare, Banco Opere di Carità, Caritas Italiana, Italian Red Cross, Sant’Edigio, Saint Vincent de Paul and Sempre Insieme per la Pace have jointly conducted a wide scale survey among their affiliated local partner organizations which are benefiting from the Fund for European Aid to the most Deprived (FEAD). The objective is provide evidence of the positive social impact of FEAD food aid.
The survey consultation was sent to more than 7000 local partner organizations and the reply rate was very high, almost 50%. The results are being analyzed and will be presented to the European Commission by the end of April.
This initiative intends to contribute to the evaluation of the current FEAD and to the ongoing discussion around the future of this Fund in the next programming period by bringing the position of civil society on the social impact of the FEAD food aid to the European Commission.
FEBA strongly supports such national initiatives and hopes it can replicated in other countries.
